Darcy Williamson is a practicing herbalist, instructor, public speaker and author from central Idaho. Wild medicinal plants have been a passion of hers for as long as she can remember. For the past 35 years she has taught hands-on classes on locating, identifying, preparing and using medicinal herbs growing in the Rocky Mountains. She has found her occupation as an herbalist ~ the go-between for the medicinal herbs and those who need their healing powers ~ to be a glorious and humbling occupation. This personal collection of Darcy’s monographs covers 130 of the plants she has taught to apprentice groups and used in her practice as an herbalist.

"Ever since the completion of my book Healing Plants of the Rocky Mountains, I have been asked when I will be writing a sequel. I decided that rather than produce another book of 33 plants, I would begin refining my database and releasing it in a series of easy to use CDs, each containing 130 plant monographs. This is Volume 1. I plan to add additional volumes in two year intervals, eventually having a total of four volumes of 130 medicinal plant monographs each. These are plants that I have studied and worked with throughout my 30+ years career as an herbalist and instructor of Rocky Mountain medicinal plants ~ both native and naturalized. PDF format; searchable; indexed."

Review:
"I don't write reviews very often, but I had to say something about this book. I have looked at a lot of different medicinal plants guide books, and this is the easiest and one of the most complete I have come across.

The author is very thorough in her descriptions about each plant, including the scientific name, and how to cultivate it yourself. I refer back to it quite a bit."
